1. It’s all truth and rational that ‘Elite Force’ having created employment opportunities for 22000 + – ‘Rural Youth’ is a much sought after ‘Service Provider’ of ‘Security Services/Guards’ in the country. Today we signed a Contract to provide 100 + + Security Guards to DESCO Mirpur Division.
2. But unfortunately, the ‘Service Charges’ for a Security Guard continues to be low in our country. Recently a ‘Statistics’ was published (Attached) in a local daily that a minimum of Tk. 22,000.00 is required to maintain a livelihood these days. Only yesterday it came to be known that a family requires Tk. 52,000.00 + – ‘Living Wage’ (https://rb.gy/vzpol) to maintain a family in Bangladesh.
3. You will be surprised to know that there are Service Receivers who pays between Tk. 4,500.00 to Tk. 5,000.00 only for a Guard after a whole month. Incidentally this amount is earned in two / three hours in a day in an advance country. Is it not ‘Incredible’ ?
4. It’s a pity that Private Security Services Sector has remained unrecognised and unsung till now. This sector has employed 8 lacs people in the Security Profession in a Country where employment is scarce. And it has been all our show, our resources, as we have been rendering such a great service to the nation. You will be further appalled to know that these Security Companies Carries / transits over 2000 Crores of taka every day between banks to bank by using 500 + – vehicles of their own.
5. It’s time the authorities pay little more attention to the sector doing a marvelous job of supplicating the efforts of the other law enforcing agencies in the country.
