1. It was a very heartening and entertaining visit to RAOWA after a long time. Joined the Eid Reunion functions on 6th May 2023 at RAOWA Helmet Hall. My good experience included meeting lot of old comrades/officers – যাদের কাছ দিয়ে যাচ্ছিলাম সবাই বুকে টেনে নিচ্ছিল, জড়িয়ে ধরছিল (Hugs after Hugs) seemed I am a popular guy ! Little exaggerated in good humour.
2. Enjoyed the food very much : Kacchi Biryani; Good Chicken Roast; Kebab; Borhani; Yogurt, Sweet Pan at such a low cost. It was amazing : only Bangla Taka 350.00 (Total US$ 3 Dollar) Incredible ! Ultimately just half the price (Tk 175/00) as Lady wives were allowed free Entry.
3. Must thank the Chairman Major General Alauddin M A Wadud, BP, ndc, psc from my heart – No wonder the Sandhurst graduate worthy of his position an accomplished, Major General of our Army, was there welcoming the guests. I recollected being senior to him in Faujdarhat Cadet College and we spent number of years together in a House named the ‘AYUB HOUSE’.
4. The Cultural function, was also very good. Again thanks to the EC and the Chairman for an excellent evening. I was wondering why the present Chairman, should not get, at least one more year of extention, when ‘Selection’ is the criteria for Chairmanship of RAOWA. I heard he has played a big role in relieving the RAOWA of the burden of big loans. What’s else could have been a good news for us.
