1. The \u2018Guy\u2019 is admitted to the Psychiatric Ward of Dhaka CMH. He called me several times and last night, I failed to get an entry into the ward at 10o Clock night. This morning he called me again to send Steaks for him : Medium Rare (SERLION). I ordered three sets \/ plates for him from the Gulshan Club.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

2. Then I called the Psychiatric Ward. First I spoke to Sgt Mizan, who nicely refused any food from outside. I then called Lt \/ Col Anjum – she also politely refused. At last I called Col Munir the Incharge \u2013 he perhaps said Sir, no one can allow you to Pass the food not even the Chief (Little Exaggerated).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

3. Frustrated, I sent one set to Mrs. Baig at her residence, one plate to a friend and I savoured one plate myself, to my great delight. I had never known that steaks are so tasty. But when I was told that the 3 plates cost almost Tk. 4,000\/- + -, I got upset with myself.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

4. Someone told me that gone are the days when 3 plates would cost not more than Tk. 1,000\/- in total each Tk. 333\/-. No one had taken me to the markets for the last 10\/12 years. So I remained \u2018Goof on Hoof\u2019 The cost of things in between have gone beyond any imagination. But \u2018Filthies\u2019 like us are going ahead unabated caring the least for the helpless majorities !<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
