1. Just one day before the Eid-ul-Adha, on the day of \u2018Arafat\u2019 there could not have been any parallel to a most tragic death news than that of FLT \/ LT Mosharraf Mohammad Hossain who died in a Fire incident in his bed room at Mohammadpur.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

2. He was 75 years old, well enough to have played golf in the very morning. He died from a short circuit \/ fire sparked off from an AC in his Bed Room on the night of 27-28th June 2023. Someone who had salvaged the death body, said he was just burnt like \u2018Charcoal\u2019 – no identity or trace of him could be derived from the body.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

3. I had the some of the most memorable memories with him, when I joined the President\u2019s Secretariat as an ADC to the President in Bangabhaban in October 1974. When Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman became President, he accepted all of us to become part of his personnel staffs. We worked together until, August 75 , when Bangabandhu was brutally murdered.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

4. He was completely shocked and broken and full of sadness, he resigned and left the country. He then pursued higher studies in the UK\/USA and got established himself as an Financial Analysist. He worked in PWC (Price Waterhouse and Coopers) for number of years.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

5. Incidentally he came back to settle in his native land a few years back. He was really a brilliant & capable person and no wonder he performed as the CEO of the Dhaka Stock Exchange for sometime.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

6. Off late, he was living with his wife who he is a Cancer Survivor. The incident went unnoticed, unattended and no one could make out anything when the fire was fully engulfing him in his bed room. His wife used to stay in a side room as a matter of convenience, was not also aware of what was happening !<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

7. Three of us, (Col Mahbub, Col Zillul & myself) who had known FLT \/ Lt Mosharraf visited his wife yesterday. We came to know that they were in a rented place \u2013 rented only 15 days back. Their original property was handed over to a Developer company recently in Mohammadpur.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

8. The only son who resides in USA, a Lawyer has arrived & will now pray at the father\u2019s grave at Tangail \u2013 the home district of FLT \/ LT Musaroof Hussain.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

9. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un. We came from God and we shall all return to him. Let\u2019s join praying for him to Allah for a most blessed place in the Heaven.<\/div>\n
